Ava Valianti is a multi-talented musician, captivating audiences as a singer-songwriter. Her journey began at the age of nine when she started writing songs and composing music, eventually blossoming into a rising star in the music industry. Surrounded by a rich tapestry of musical influences at home, ranging from the iconic sounds of the Beatles and Elvis Costello to the soulful rhythms of New Orleans jazz, Ava’s artistry is a fusion of diverse inspirations. Drawing from contemporary luminaries such as Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Adele, Lana Del Rey, and Lizzy McAlpine, as well as emerging talents like Holly Humberstone, Yana, Laufey, and Samara Joy, Ava crafts music that resonates with authenticity and emotional depth. Her creative journey is a testament to her boundless passion for storytelling and her relentless pursuit of artistic excellence.

Her musical journey took flight in October 2023.

Ava Valianti is a 16-year-old singer-songwriter from Newbury, Massachusetts, blending indie, pop, and pop-rock influences into a sound that’s raw, heartfelt, and unmistakably her own. With a voice that balances aching vulnerability and indie edge, Ava crafts songs that linger, equal parts emotional confession and infectious melody.

Since her 2023 debut with “bubble wrap,” Ava has built an international audience through standout singles including “Middle Ground,” “January,” “Laugh Track,” “Distant,” “Buttercups,” and “Clean My Room.” Her debut EP, petunias, introduced her as a fearless new voice in indie pop, transforming vulnerability and resilience into shimmering coming-of-age anthems and earning praise for its honesty, craft, and emotional depth.

Ava has received spins on over 300 radio stations and earned regional and international nominations and awards from the New England Music Awards, Boston Music Awards, International Acoustic Music Awards, the Unsigned Music Awards, and Indie Boulevard Music Awards. She was named a Top 3 Finalist and 1st Runner-Up for American Songwriter’s Road Ready Talent Contest and performed live at the finals in Nashville at The Basement East. She has opened for acclaimed artists including Jessica Baio, Lucy Kaplansky, Grammy-nominated Andrew Duhon, The Strumbellas, Gavin Marengi, and Jamie Fine, while also selling out her own headlining shows.

With her latest run of releases, Ava has entered a bold new chapter. “Deep Fuchsia” introduced a brighter, more electric intensity, while “Sophomore Slump” embraced imperfection and public vulnerability. “Birthday Cake” expanded that lens further, reflecting on time, expectation, and the quiet weight of growing up.

Now, with her fourth single, “The Conversation,” Ava turns inward again, this time exploring the painful clarity of a relationship where care exists, but alignment does not. Written from the perspective of someone who deeply values another person but cannot return their feelings in the same way, the song captures the tension between honesty and avoidance, kindness and self-preservation.

Through vivid, poetic imagery and emotionally charged lyrics, “The Conversation” lives in the space between what is said and what is left unsaid. It’s about the conversations we rehearse, the truths we delay, and the quiet heartbreak of knowing that staying may hurt more than leaving. Sonically, the track continues to build on the pop-rock foundation of her upcoming second EP (due May 2026), pairing atmospheric textures with dynamic, emotionally driven vocals.

Unafraid and unmistakably original, Ava Valianti continues carving out her own lane in indie pop and pop-rock. With “The Conversation,” she leans into one of her most complex emotional perspectives yet, proving once again that her greatest strength lies in saying the things most people struggle to admit.

A Project of Self-Discovery and Emotional Honesty

For Ava, music isn’t just an art form—it’s her anchor. At 16, amid the ups and downs of high school life, friendships, and first loves, music remains the one constant that makes sense to her, a force that keeps her grounded. Many artists might see their music as a distinct “project,” separate from who they are, but for Ava, that divide doesn’t exist. Her songs are a direct reflection of her soul, unfiltered and honest. With each lyric and melody, she finds a way to make sense of life’s bittersweet moments: the loss of childhood innocence, the ache of unrequited love, the painful growth that comes with change, and the power to let go of those who don’t value you.

Through her original songs, Ava reveals herself, inviting listeners to join her on a journey through her raw emotions and perspectives. Her music is more than a passion—it’s a lifeline, a space where she can find clarity and genuine happiness amid life’s complexities. Ava’s art is inseparable from her identity, and she embraces that. This commitment to being real in her work is what makes her music resonate so deeply, capturing moments that are as personal as they are universal.

"I love to make music, and if other people enjoy it or connect to it, then the job’s been done well and that excites me."
